Justin Abbott

Justin has lived in RBKC for 20 years, and in London for (most) of the rest of his life. He began his career as a lawyer before working in finance and investment. For many years Justin was Chair of the Mudchute, Europe’s biggest urban farm in the East End of London, and he is a firm believer of the benefits of clean air and greenery in cities. A big sports fan, Justin also worked for a few years at the worldwide governing body of cycling in Switzerland (the UCI), where other than (trying) to manage the Tour de France he helped to launch their work advocating for cycling as a great solution for transport.

Having travelled and worked extensively across the world in towns, cities and countries with contrasting approaches to how to improve streets for people, Justin is committed to help Kensington and Chelsea make the right policies to change our borough from a congested and polluted borough, hostile to walking and cycling, with communities estranged by some sitting in vehicles and others not, that many shrug and think “well this is it, it’s very complicated etc”, to being the great place to live it could so easily be given our great resources and good fortune.
